January 7, 2014 — Vizua Corp., Seattle-based developer of the cloud-based, 3-D visualization, sharing, collaboration and printing software platform, and 3D Systems of Rock Hill, S.C., announced that 3D Systems will develop a 3-D software marketplace website platform powered by Vizua's 3-D software platform technology to further enhance and expand the printing of high-definition 3-D data.

Vizua's software platform technology enables users across all market sectors to do the following:
  • Load 3-D data to cloud server using a web browser with no software application required
  • Share 3-D data via email
  • Convert raw 3-D data to a printable 3-D model with color and size flexibility
  • Convert 2-D and 3-D software models to 3-D printable models
  • Make, purchase and ship 3-D printable models directly to the customers through 3D Systems’ print marketplace

"This new cloud based solution will allow segments such as healthcare services and medical education to democratize access to full color, 3-D printable models that will enhance communication, collaboration and ultimately improve patient outcomes," said Avi Reichental, CEO, 3D Systems.
