June 25, 2007 – United Medical Systems (UMS), nationwide provider of breast biopsy systems and Kubtec, manufacturer of compact digital X-ray inspection systems introduce the XPERT Mobile specimen radiography system for imaging breast biopsy cores and surgically excised tissue specimens. The only specimen radiography system available with an 8-by-8-inch camera, the XPERT Mobile, according to the companies, is also the world’s only such system with 16-bit contrast resolution and 1.0 mA X-ray source output, which enables it to image the smallest microcalcifications in the largest specimens in a few seconds.
