Telanetix to Incorporate Data Sharing in Four Medical Facilities

January 23, 2008 – Telanetix Inc. installed its Digital Presence products in four medical facilities affiliated with a major university, incorporating data-sharing from an array of sources, such as X-rays and ultrasounds, reportedly allowing the university to create an interactive environment that integrates audio, video and data from multiple locations into a single environment.

Digital Presence is designed to make it possible for field specialists and consulting physicians to teach and be called upon for consultations remotely, in real time with life-like interaction. Its ability to integrate with the customer’s existing software allows the hospitals to share content in high definition and in real time. This includes everything from slide presentations to live radiology content. The systems have also allowed the university to open up new choices for students in the intern program by eliminating the travel requirements that previously served as an obstacle.
