October 21, 2013 — Swissray International Inc., a manufacturer of direct digital radiography (ddR) systems, announced they have sold their ddRElement system to Capital Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center in Flowood, Miss. and to Tower Radiology in Tampa, Fla.

Taffy Teeter, practice administrator, Capital Orthopaedic, stated “great service and technical support, user friendliness, easy-to-use stitching program and speed” as well as “detailed images, manual maneuverability and the ease of pediatric X-rays due to off-center imaging” as reasons she choose Swissray DR technology.

Christy Bailey, site supervisor and X-ray technologist, Tower Radiology, also commented on the ddR system: “It has proved to be an efficient unit, and we are able to continue to have high throughput. The tube and the detector can go very low to the floor, allowing almost all exams to be done upright. The system is very easy to maneuver.”
