April 15, 2008 - Wellsoft Corp. today said St. Joseph’s Hospital in Philadelphia selected its Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) to help provide quality healthcare to the more than 25,000 emergency department patients it treats annually.

The implementation of Wellsoft will lead to more complete documentation, and more efficient processes giving clinicians more time at patient bedsides, the company said. ED management will use data gathered in Wellsoft’s system to comprehensively create reports to gain a better understanding of ED operations, thus decreasing turnaround times and increasing patient satisfaction.

“Automating the ER process allows us to provide service to patients faster and better. Our goal is to provide quality care for our patients, and we believe Wellsoft is an important tool to help us achieve this goal,” said Catherine Kutzler, CEO of St. Joseph’s Hospital. “St Joseph’s Hospital selected Wellsoft because of its successful track record. We are very excited to be working with Wellsoft. We have been very impressed with their willingness to work with us to meet our unique needs.”
