November 23, 2011 — SourceHOV will introduce its digiTA²P portfolio of managed medical image storage services at RSNA 2011. From disaster protection to business continuity and full primary offsite archiving, the vendor neutral storage solution provides a full range of options for data storage. Data is stored on the company’s private cloud, which comprises multiple Tier IV data centers in geographically dispersed locations

Users can customize a solution for today and phase in additional offerings over time to meet their needs and budget. They can also minimize or eliminate hardware capital expense, maintenance and technological obsolescence.

In addition to disaster recovery and business continuity, the new service portfolio includes solutions for incremental offsite storage of aging data, primary archiving and image sharing. The company also offers data cleansing and normalization, data migration and lifecycle management. Aging data can be shifted to economical storage media or simply eliminated according to a site’s retention policies.

Optimized for healthcare, the solution provides high levels of HIPAA/HITECH security, multiple data redundancy and ongoing technology upgrades. It can be custom configured to a site’s specific needs and is offered based on a per-exam fee structure.

The data centers help protect vital files against any disaster, whether natural or manmade, with redundant power, water and specialized fire abatement systems. The solution is designed to fail over to another storage point instantaneously as needed.
