Sectra To Highlight Orthopedic PACS at AAOS 2009

February 5, 2009 - Sectra will be showing its advanced Web-based solution at this year’s American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS 2009), to be held from February 25th – 28th h in Las Vegas.

Sectra’s newest version of Orthopedic PACS is designed to deliver significant productivity improvements for the surgeon. Deep functionality in a Web-based application allows the user to view current and prior images, view reports and preoperatively plan as needed. Ease of use, customized workflow and tight integration with practice management and EMR systems, have been reportedly enhanced.

Sectra’s RapidConnect technology reportedly allows Sectra PACS to conquer frustrating challenges associated with reduced bandwidth and latency experienced at remote clinics and locations. Advanced compression algorithms and streaming technologies, efficient client-server protocols and dynamic data reduction are the keys to enabling an unbridled workflow in the orthopedic environment.
