IMSI will showcase a new version of imsiRIS that includes a master database and a control center for devices, procedures and services. Patient reports are dictated using voice recognition and structured reporting, and may be transmitted to remote or local typists. The billing module allows for invoicing and accounts receivable management or interfacing to an outside billing service. Flexible statistical reports summarize all RIS activities, said the company.
RIS Includes Master Database, Control Center
Since the widespread adoption of digital imaging and PACS, referring physicians seldom visit radiology reading rooms, substantially reducing a major source of feedback for radiologists. (Shown are 2-D and 3-D digital breast images.) A software module to be described April 5 at the SBI/ACR Breast Imaging Symposium has been providing that feedback for radiologists interpreting breast images at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
