October 16, 2007 - Richardson Electronics announced that it has received validation from the Veteran’s Administration Healthcare System for its new, high performance diagnostic imaging workstation platform that can be equipped with either Planar or Image Systems 3-Megapixel grayscale displays, for use with VistARad Patch 65 systems, which are currently being installed throughout the entire VA system.
The VA evaluated and approved platforms are comprised of dual-head Planar or Image Systems 3-Megapixel grayscale LCDs, a display controller card and a high performance Hewlett Packard XW9400 workstation. The systems are also loaded with either Planar’s CXtra or Image Systems’ CFS conformance and calibration software packages to ensure DICOM compliance and proper QC and QA program implementation at the site level.
