April 21, 2023 — Radiology Partners (RP), the largest physician-led and physician-owned radiology practice in the U.S., successfully marked its 10th anniversary in 2022 with continued growth. Last year, RP expanded into 155 new sites of service and celebrated 500 new radiologists joining the practice. RP now serves clients in all 50 states and is partnered with 17 of the 20 largest health systems in the country.

“2022 marked a significant milestone for our practice as we celebrated ten years of transforming radiology, and we look forward to continued growth and innovation in 2023 and beyond,” said Rich Whitney, RP Chairman and CEO. “Our significant growth in the number of sites served is a demonstration of our ability to offer differentiated value for referring clinicians and clients by providing excellent care for patients and families across the country.”

In 2022, two radiology practices joined RP, adding multiple locations across Illinois, Iowa and Colorado. Additionally, RP established seven new local radiology practices to serve hospital and health system clients that chose to partner with RP. Finally, RP expanded its service offerings to include AI tools, opening the door to partnerships with four clients for various AI implementations, expanding the organization’s experience validating and delivering AI at scale.

Despite specialty-wide recruitment challenges due to a radiologist shortage, in 2022 the practice continued to significantly grow its team of radiologists. Today, RP is 3,300+ radiologists strong, serving more than 3,250 sites across the country, interpreting approximately 53 million exams and providing care to nearly 20 million unique patients annually.

“Radiology is a team sport, and our shared commitment to the mission of transforming radiology is more important than ever in today’s rapidly changing radiology environment,” said Dr. Anthony Gabriel, RP President. “We are grateful for our hospital and health system partners, physicians and support teammates who share in this commitment and welcome the many talented radiologists who joined our team this past year. It takes everyone working toward our mission to achieve progress and transformation.”

Throughout 2023, the practice will continue to invest in clinical programs and technology and pursue opportunities that drive strategic growth. Through these investments and growth, RP will continue to create value for radiologists, referring clinicians and clients, while providing excellent care for patients across the country.
