November 27, 2007 - Agfa HealthCare it has been awarded a new, three-year, multi-source contract by Premier Purchasing Partners, L.P., the group purchasing unit of Premier Inc., to provide Enterprise Image Management Solutions (EIMS) and services to the alliance's more than 1,500 member hospitals and 49,000 other healthcare sites.
Included in the agreement is Agfa’s IMPAX Data Center, which provides multi-media storage and distribution to clinicians. IMPAX RIS (Radiology Information System), PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) and reporting solutions, covering radiology, cardiology, mammography and orthopaedic clinical departments, will also be available to members under this contract.
