Orthopedics Practice Selects Viztek for Full Digital Imaging Conversion

September 15, 2009 - Citrus Orthopaedics and Joint Institute in Lecanto, Fla., has selected Viztek Opal-ORTHO PACS and U-ARM digital radiography (DR) solutions to implement a conversion to full digital workflow.

Prior to the Viztek installation, Citrus was utilizing film-based imaging and maintaining a time-consuming, cumbersome darkroom. “We knew a digital conversion would deliver significant savings in time and better serve our patients. Before making the purchase, Citrus conducted a formal search of the marketplace, including site visits to multiple locations. All of the orthopedists were extremely enthusiastic about their Viztek solutions,” reported Patrick Rodgers, RT, Imaging Manager for the five-physician, sub-specialty practice.
The integrated PACS/DR solution combined with the Opal-ORTHO PACS’ orthopedic features and functionalities led Citrus to select Viztek to implement its much-anticipated digital conversion.
Set-up, installation and implementation and Viztek’s affordable price point were benefits to these practices.
