NovaRad Releases NovaRIS, NovaPACS 8

PACS RIS/PACS combined rsna 2013 radiology information systems

October 3, 2013 — Smarter study comparisons, new modality activity/cost management reports and an enhanced interface comprise NovaRad’s NovaRIS/NovaPACS combined radiology system upgrades.

The smarter study comparison functionality automatically opens related comparison studies for an open study. The modality activity/cost management report enables easier tracking of modality, productivity and profitability.

Additional updates in this latest version:

  • Consulting physician field in diagnostic reports
  • Easy restoration of deleted studies up to 90 days after deletion
  • Enhanced, comprehensive integration with third-party long-term archives

The combined radiology information system (RIS)/picture archiving communication system (PACS) is web-based and runs on the same open source platform to ensure seamless integration and help speed installation. The combined system is also available in Spanish and through an application service provider (ASP) model.
