American Medical Sales Inc. released MIDAS PACS, including a 100 percent redundant archive and new diagnostic viewing and clinical review licenses.
The MIDAS PACS complete digital imaging solution features dual archives, image gateway, image backup, diagnostic workstation software, a Web server, CD recorder/color labeler and clinical viewing. For safety, the system is contains HIPAA privacy and security features.
Included in the system is the Catella Web Server, allowing the user to select how to utilize assigned licenses, some may be used for internal image distribution and other to send for retrieving imaging from remote locations. More licenses can be added as needed.
MIDAS PACS uses SATA technology for its archiving process, coming equip with two archives. The system can reportedly hold the equivalent of 300,000, 500,000 or 700,000 14-by-17 sheets of X-ray film.
