digital radiography dr systems rsna 2013 philips mobilediagnost wdr eleva

October 18, 2013 — Philips’ MobileDiagnost wDR system allows staff to bring radiography machines directly to patients, optimizing patient comfort. The detector technology and reduced need for retakes inherent to these machines contribute to the patients receiving a low X-ray dose, further enhancing patient experience.

This system uses the same Eleva interface used across Philips X-ray machines and therefore reduces staff training requirements. The wireless portable detector saves time when compared to cassette or film processing, and the efficiency and intuitive system handling of the MobileDiagnost wDR can decrease costs.

Technologists can quickly and easily move the system into place, and images can be taken and sent to picture archive and communication systems (PACS) in a few seconds. This allows the radiologist and technologist to interact swiftly, leading to rapid decision-making and more personalized patient care.
