May 29, 2008 - Medical device industry leaders, lawmakers and government officials will gather for the 2008 Annual Meeting of the Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA) on June 12-13 2008 at the Marriott at Metro Center in Washington D.C.

The Annual Meeting brings leading medical technology executives together with some of healthcare’s most influential decision-makers. Understanding the impact of industry and government trends has never been more important, said MDMA.

Meeting attendees will hear from panels comprised of seasoned experts from Capitol Hill, FDA and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

In addition to FDA topics, coverage, payment issues and reforming hospital group purchasing organizations (GPOs), the meeting will feature sessions on issues and challenges facing fast growing medical technology companies, international opportunities, fraud, abuse and the changing landscape of the U.S. patent system.
