April 22, 2008 - InSite One and Avreo Inc. have furthered their contract, allowing Avreo to resell InSite One’s archive and disaster recovery services in support of its RIS/PACS solutions, allowing Avreo to provide its distribution channels with services that include hosted data protection and remote archiving of DICOM and non-DICOM images and information.
InSite One's InDex 5 digital medical archive contains features created to improve enterprise workflow and management capabilities. InSite One has developed a roadmap to enhance the InDex Archive services preparing users for the future. The InDex 5 services will reportedly expand the tools to intelligently manage information for the life of clinical data.
The release incorporates a revised set of Web-enabled administration functions for reporting and configuration management across virtual storage assets. This will begin to address the users’ ability to manage InDex services as a repository of all data types and the ability to capture HL7 results and store them for clinical applications and the electronic medical record.
InDex 5 comes on the heels of the InDex 4.1 release with the inclusion of long-term storage management of non-DICOM data, high availability for on-site storage configurations and expansion of interface capabilities with HL7 features for patient reconciliation, according to the company.
