February 6, 2013 — Insight Imaging announced it has expanded its fleet of mobile imaging units to include those previously operated by GE Mobile Interim Solutions (MIS), a unit of GE Capital. Insight Imaging signed an agreement with GE Healthcare to become the preferred provider for GE Healthcare customers’ interim solutions and mobile imaging needs.

GE and Insight Imaging have a longstanding relationship of working together to provide superior diagnostic imaging services, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography (PET)/CT to hospitals, healthcare providers and their patients. As a result, when GE was selecting a new mobile imaging partner, Insight Imaging was the natural choice.

“This is a unique opportunity for Insight Imaging to grow our national mobile presence and strength. We are excited to be able to offer additional scanner technology solutions within our mobile imaging fleet and look forward to providing outstanding service and quality care to our new customers,” stated Jim Varcarolis, senior vice president and general manager of Insight Imaging, Mobile division.

In order to service the expansion of its customer base, Insight Imaging is increasing the size of its fleet by 28 additional mobile diagnostic imaging assets. GE Healthcare is confident that those customers who have previously relied on MIS for their interim diagnostic imaging needs will soon come to think of Insight Imaging as their trusted source for excellence in service and patient care.
