May 20, 2008 - Agfa HealthCare and Amirsys are partnering to integrate STATdx Radiologist Decision Support system with Agfa’s IMPAX PACS Solution in hopes to increase speed and diagnostic confidence for radiologists.

STATdx, reportedly the first point-of-care, diagnostic reference support system for imaging in the U.S., is designed to support the busy practicing radiologist by increasing speed, accuracy and diagnostic quality in complex cases. STATdx also works to assist orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, women’s health centers and emergency departments improve patient care. Offering Diagnostic Decision Support with Centricity RIS-IC enables customers to improve workflow by reducing the time required to research and complete difficult imaging analysis.

IMPAX 6.4 features advanced workflow design focusing on the seamless integration of RIS/PACS/Reporting information and image management into one workflow from start to finish.

The system includes visualization and navigation tools for large volume studies (CT/MR), with complex multiseries review. IMPAX 6.4 also focuses on bringing disparate information to the radiologists' desktop, irrespective of
the source.

Combined with IMPAX RIS and a suite of integrated clinical applications for advanced image processing (including virtual colonoscopy, PET/CT registration fusion, and advanced measurement and templating) IMPAX 6.4 delivers a single integrated IT solution that allows radiologists to manage their complete workflow, from protocoling to final reading, according to the company.
