February 26, 2008 - Agfa HealthCare released IMPAX ConnectED, a solution designed to automate and accelerate communication between a hospital’s radiology and emergency department (ED) regarding preliminary findings, providing different mechanisms to alert ED physicians or multiple individuals of critical results, at HIMSS 2008.
The system allows users to create customized work lists within the solution, provides consolidated views of all ED activities within the radiology or the emergency department and makes performance reports available for management. Both the ED clinician and the radiologist can send messages via IMPAX ConnectED.
The solution offers department-level visibility of messaging activity, with the complete communication trail automatically stored in a searchable archive for over 10 years. ConnectED also facilitates and automates compliance with legal and professional standards for clinical communications.
The solution is being offered as a stand-alone package for IMPAX or as an enhancement to IMPAX Veriphy, Agfa HealthCare’s CTRM solution.
