February 28, 2007 – McKesson Corporation (MCK) recently announced the acquisition of Physician Micro Systems, Inc., known as Practice Partner, a provider of integrated software for electronic health records (EHRs), medical billing and appointment scheduling for independent physicians. The move is part of McKesson's overall strategy to automate the hospital, integrate physician offices through portals and drive interactive connectivity.
