February 25, 2008 - Inova Health System selected GE’s Centricity EMR under Stark Relaxation, donating portions of its cost savings from Stark Relaxation to local physicians, aiming to provide better care for patients and real-time visibility.
Inova’s current Centricity solutions include Centricity Enterprise and Centricity Perinatal, and various solutions within Inova's lab.
The Centricity family, Centricity Enterprise is an integrated software suite that reportedly offering capabilities that are designed to help caregivers provide safer care for patients. The software utilizes the Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE), which screens every medication order for potential errors and offers point-of-care bar coding for safer medication administration.
