Elekta Announces Major Business Deal

March 30, 2007 - Elekta has recently agreed to purchase the Italian stereotactic radiosurgery and intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) firm, 3D Line Medical Systems, paying $13.3 million for the company's assets.

The business deal is pending closing conditions and regulatory approval. Three-D Line's products include equipment and treatment-planning software systems for radiation therapy.
