Complements CoActiv EXAM-CLOUD® Archiving with 9 Year Record of Success

November 19, 2012 — CoActiv debuts at RSNA 2012 exciting new service and pricing options for its cloud-based, vendor neutral archive (VNA) system, with more than nine years of proven superior performance. One of the first DICOM storage companies in the cloud, CoActiv provides ultra-secure, HIPAA-compliant, scalable and fail proof archiving backed by a 100% SLA guarantee. Thanks to the system’s advanced, redundant architecture, CoActiv clients have not experienced a second of down time throughout the product’s history.

For secure primary archiving of DICOM and non-DICOM imaging related data, EXAM-CLOUD (formerly EXAM-VAULT), features advanced VNA technology and quad-redundant storage in four separate locations. At RSNA 2012, this flagship offering is joined by EXAM-VAULT back up, similarly optimized for reliable, secure image storage with many of the same quality features as EXAM-CLOUD.

“Now CoActiv offers the two best vendor neutral archiving solutions available,” said Ed Heere, president and CEO of CoActiv.  “Along with proven technology, we offer a peerless track record with not a single image lost in more than nine years. Storage cost can be as reasonable as 20 cents per exam, depending on volume and study size.”

Delivering all the quality and reliability synonymous with the CoActiv name, EXAM-CLOUD stores all images in an unprecedented quad-redundant fashion.  This includes two copies of all exams in Tier-IV datacenters in different states, utilizing distinct power grids and Internet peering points. In addition, data is also archived online at the imaging facility as well as on removable media in a secure CoActiv fire proof vault.

The CoActiv EXAM-CLOUD service provides instant exam retrieval along with HIPAA compliant and audited security, making it the world’s fastest and most secure archiving system. CoActiv EXAM-CLOUD can be integrated with most other PACS for only pennies per exam, offering an affordable and highly scalable archiving solution for radiology departments and practices of any size.

To ensure seamless business continuity, the archive provides instant fail-over to CoActiv’s mirrored offsite datacenters.  EXAM-CLOUD enables instant remote exam access by any authorized radiologist or referring physician, using the CoActiv zero-footprint EXAM-BROWSER. It supports all DICOM modalities, while offering non-DICOM storage options.

New CoActiv EXAM-VAULT back up storage provides the same security and advanced technology as EXAM-CLOUD. It is a secure, HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based system anchored in a Tier-IV data centre. Advanced VNA technology supports all DICOM modalities as well as related non-DICOM objects.

As a managed service, CoActiv EXAM-VAULT shifts the burden of all archive system maintenance to its own internal IT experts. Ongoing state-of-the-art upgrades eliminate all technological obsolescence.

Both service offerings carry the 100% Uptime SLA guarantee, include validated migration of existing priors and can be rapidly deployed.
