CIVCO Transducer Holder Improves Positioning

CIVCO Medical Solutions’ Assist Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) Transducer Holder reportedly enables stable and accurate positioning of TEE transducers in a fixed location for extended periods of time. The holder aims to offer physicians added efficiencies and ergonomics in the imaging environment.

The TEE Holder allows physicians to freely place and hold TEE transducers in a fixed position, allowing for continuous monitoring of the heart and making small active adjustments of the TEE view without having to hold the transducer. Use of the holder allows the transducer to be held upright to reduce stress on the patient’s mouth and eliminate problems such as stretching the corner of the mouth during longer procedures. When placed in the holder, the transducer does not obstruct other equipment. Additionally, the transducer’s control unit is protected against both mechanical damage and exposition of fluids such as saline and blood.
