Carestream Health’s new turnkey CARESTREAM Virtual 3D Solution provides the same advanced 3D processing, comparative viewing of MR and CT studies and other functionality that is currently integrated with its KODAK CARESTREAM PACS platform, but also features advanced display protocols that work to reduce setup time for image review and streaming technology that speeds performance even in low-bandwidth environments.

The solution can offer an unlimited number of concurrent users, access from any onsite or remote location, customized preferences that follow users and advanced 3D processing tools that may not be available on dedicated workstations. The Virtual 3D Solution also provides intuitive step-by-step wizards for more complex reconstruction functions and structured vessel and cardiac analysis reports.

The company’s advanced processing tools include MPR/MIP, MinIP, tissue definition, volume rendering, vessel tracking, automatic bone removal, PET-CT viewing of pre-registered images, comprehensive cardiac review and analysis tools, cardiac multiphase display and cardiac cine.
