Carestream To Debut PACS Upgrades

Carestream Health will debut upgrades to its newest PACS that include an embedded reporting module and a convenient graphic display for “at a glance” viewing of available patient records and data.

The company also will show its new RIS that supports a secure Web portal that enables patients to re-schedule an imaging appointment and centralized scheduling for multiple imaging sites. Time-saving new reporting features include voice-driven commands, structured reporting, standard answers and the ability to copy content from prior reports.

The company’s innovative SuperPACS™ Architecture that links multiple vendors’ RIS/PACS also will be displayed. It enables facilities to create workflow efficiencies through a global worklist across the enterprise, and its PowerViewer dramatically improves radiologist productivity for viewing 3D exams. The company also will demonstrate a vendor-neutral archive for images and data that is available in on-site or off-site configurations.

In medical imaging news, Carestream Health will launch a retrofit kit that allows several vendors’ mobile analog x-ray generators to be upgraded to accommodate wireless, cassette-size CARESTREAM DRX-1 detectors for immediate digital image capture. It also will offer a new long-length imaging accessory for its tabletop Point-of-Care 360 system.
