Cardiac Science Adds NextGen as Certified EMR System Partner

April 4, 2008 – Cardiac Science Corp. completed certification for its HeartCentrix ECG informatics software with NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, looking to connect diagnostic devices and EMR systems together for office-wide efficiencies, and a greater ROI on the EMR investment.

Reportedly used by over 1,500 clients, the NextGen EMR can connect to the HeartCentrix informatics software. The HeartCentrix solution aims to bring patient history, clinical charting, e-prescribing, lab orders, results and patient follow-up information together into a single EMR application. HeartCentrix enables data transfer from Burdick and Quinton electrocardiograph (ECG) devices, cardiac stress and Holter monitoring devices to physician EMR software, and can be installed with a new NextGen EMR implementation, or into an existing NextGen account.
