Candelis Brings Advanced ILM to ImageGrid

Candelis Inc. has added an advanced Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) solution to its ImageGrid 1000 and 700 encompassing the integration of the Sony LIB-81 and LIB-162 series Advanced Intelligent Tape (AIT) libraries with ImageGrid ILM software.
Candelis’ ImageGrid is a line of fully-integrated, DICOM industry-standard server appliances that speed digital image access and routing, simplify image management and provide reliable storage and archive capabilities.
Candelis collaborated with Sony to incorporate the features of the LIB-81 and LIB-162 series tape libraries, which are based on the AIT format developed by Sony, along with back-end ImageGrid ILM software developed by Candelis. In addition to providing a HIPAA-compliant backup solution, the integrated software enables ImageGrid customers to take advantage of AIT’s features, such as Remote Memory-In-Cassette (R-MIC) and an embedded radio frequency transponder, to optimize tape access and data retrieval, provide a safeguard for data and reduce administrative overhead related to tape handling.
