April 16, 2008 - BRIT Systems will introduce a bundled PACS offering designed for groups who want to lessen the initial investment and the ongoing IT support required by having a vendor provide off-site storage bundled with the PACS. The bundles are reportedly affordable for the smallest of offices and imaging centers.

The base bundle includes an onsite PACS server/router/archive, licenses for BRIT View (DICOM Viewer) and BRIT Lite (Web viewer), a CD burner, offsite storage of images and database backups and services for DICOM integration of modalities and training. The base bundle includes BRIT’s Exam Loop tool for monitoring and managing the exam process, and the On Patrol 24/7 monitoring service from BRIT support.

Upgrade options include order entry with report storage, modality worklist support, a full RIS offering and synchronization for real-time building of a redundant system.
