April 29, 2016 — Aycan is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month with the introduction of a new productivity and security feature for aycan web HTML5 DICOM Viewer tool for sharing images with referring physicians, technologists and team members.
aycan web is part of aycan store, a scalable, high-performance DICOM picture archiving and communication system (PACS). The new login feature allows enterprise directory users to authenticate against Active Directory or other LDAP source without requiring separate user management in the PACS. It also allows individual user preferences to be saved including default layout and language.
Other recent product innovations from aycan include the release of an enterprise edition of aycan workstation, an advanced image-processing tool and DICOM PACS workstation for conventional, multi-slice and other image reading. The enterprise edition was designed to enhance the workstation from a stand-alone solution to supporting large groups of simultaneous users, managing diverse hardware configurations and integrating enterprise authentication.
