Medic Vision Imaging Solutions Ltd. will showcase its SafeCT Enterprise solution at the upcoming Radiological Society of North America's (RSNA's) 100th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting, Nov. 30 - Dec. 5 in Chicago. SafeCT is a turnkey solution pioneered to revitalize existing computed tomography (CT) scanners with CT image enhancement for low-dose scans to enable low-dose imaging with high-quality image results for diagnosis. This provides hospitals and imaging centers with a cost-effective option in place of a costly scanner retrofit or replacement.

Radiation dose management has come to the forefront of healthcare concerns with both patients and providers advocating for measures that will decrease and manage exposure. Research has shown that medical imaging has doubled the public’s exposure to ionizing radiation since the 1980s, and while this statistic includes fluoroscopy, angiography, mammography and standard X-ray, computed tomography (CT) has contributed the majority of the dose increase. 

Medic Vision Imaging Solutions Ltd. recently signed agreements with three major healthcare purchasing organizations, namely Premier and Health Trust PG, to offer the SafeCT to thousands of their member hospitals and other healthcare providers at pre-negotiated special terms.

Imaging Solutions Inc. and Medic Vision Imaging Solutions Ltd. announced that an imaging partner is now able to offer routine high-quality, low-dose lung cancer screening services to the general public at rural shopping centers in the Upper Midwest, using a mobile computed tomography (CT) scanner unit fitted with Medic Vision’s add-on SafeCT system.

July 19, 2012 — Medic Vision Imaging Solutions Ltd., a producer of iterative image reconstruction solutions for medical imaging, has selected Atlantis Worldwide LLC, a full-service provider of diagnostic imaging systems, as its exclusive partner to distribute the SafeCT image enhancement system to hospitals and imaging centers throughout the United States.
