May 23, 2014 — Agilex announced it was awarded a competitive contract by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to develop and implement VA’s enterprise Web and mobile application image viewing solution. Agilex will build upon Calgary Scientific’s ResolutionMD viewer to provide VA clinicians nationally with secure, on-demand access to radiological images across a variety of mobile and desktop devices.

May 23, 2014 — Visage Imaging Inc. exhibited the latest release of the Visage 7 enterprise imaging platform at the 2014 Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) annual meeting in Long Beach, Calif. The latest release, version 7.1.5, includes optimized navigation and tools and significant speed enhancements to Visage 7’s performance with massive digital mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) studies.


May 23, 2014 — Two studies examining the influences and impacts of kidney stones show ultrasound reduces radiation exposure and is less expensive compared to computed tomography (CT) scans, while a second study indicates better glycemic control in diabetic patients lowers the risk for kidney stone development. Both studies were presented at the 109th annual scientific meeting of the American Urological Association (AUA) in Orlando, Fla.
