Next-generation digital dosimeter recognized for transforming real-time radiation safety in healthcare.

RDC's Digital Dosimeter Receives AHRA Innovation Award

Sept. 9, 2025 — Radiation Detection Company (RDC), a provider of occupational radiation monitoring services, recently announced its NetDose Digital Dosimeter has been awarded the 2025 AHRA Innovation Award by the Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA) at its Annual Meeting in Las Vegas.

The AHRA Innovation Award recognizes excellence in medical imaging and healthcare administration, celebrating products and services that improve patient safety, clinical operations, and compliance.

“AHRA was proud to recognize RDC’s NetDose with the 2025 Innovation Showcase Award. These types of next-generation solutions help medical imaging leaders enhance safety, ensure compliance, and optimize operations in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape,” said Jason Newmark, CRA, FAHRA, Executive Director of AHRA.

AHRA further noted in its official recap: “NetDose stole the show and is changing the game in radiation safety.”

Monitoring with NetDose

The NetDose Digital Dosimeter delivers next-generation whole-body radiation monitoring with:

  • Hour-by-hour radiation dose data
  • Real-time Bluetooth syncing and on-demand reporting
  • AI-powered anomaly detection and exposure trend analysis

NetDose eliminates monthly badge exchanges and shipping delays. Radiation Safety Officers (RSOs) and administrators gain centralized dashboard access for dose reporting, badge reassignment, and compliance management.

NetDose is NVLAP-accredited (Lab Code 600295-0), with a lower limit of detection (LLD) of 1 mrem (0.01 mSv), offering granularity down to very low dose levels. Built on advanced silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) technology with a photon measurement range of 17 keV – 6.7 MeV, it enables real-time occupational exposure tracking and management.

“This award is validation that we’re solving the right problems – the ones that matter to healthcare professionals,” said Ryan Turk, CEO of Radiation Detection Company. “NetDose™ represents our commitment to simplify compliance, elevate safety, and deliver real-time visibility where it’s needed most.”

The Future of Radiation Safety

NetDose empowers imaging leaders and RSOs with instant access to exposure data, enabling:

  • Proactive adjustments based on live readings
  • Identification of exposure spikes before regulatory issues arise
  • Optimization of shielding, scheduling, and workflows
  • Confident ALARA compliance with visualized analytics

“With more than 30 years in medical imaging, I’ve seen firsthand how complicated radiation safety programs can be,” said Gregg Daversa, RT, (R)(CT)(MR), Director of Healthcare Sales at RDC. “Every day, healthcare professionals ask for faster, smarter ways to manage radiation safety. NetDose answers that call, and this award underscores its value in radiology.”

Chris Passmore, CHP, President of RDC, added: “This award represents RDC’s relentless dedication to solving real-world radiation safety challenges. NetDose is more than a product – it’s a platform for progress.”
