April 3, 2025 — Siemens Healthineers and Tower Health have formed a 10-year Value Partnership1 focused on equipment enhancement, technology modernization and improving clinical experience for patients. The Value Partnership will bring comprehensive improvements in diagnostic imaging and digital intelligence tools to radiology, oncology and cardiology across the Tower Health system.

Tower Health is a regional integrated healthcare system that offers compassionate, high-quality, leading-edge healthcare and wellness services to communities in Pennsylvania.

The Value Partnership will foster positive momentum toward long-term viability for Tower Health. The partnership has been established to address the standardization and life-cycle management of Tower Health’s imaging equipment. Upgrading Tower Health’s radiology, cardiology and oncology departments with Siemens Healthineers equipment—including computed tomography, magnetic resonance, interventional radiology and Varian radiation-oncology therapies —advances the entire healthcare network toward system-wide standardization and enhanced efficiency and capacity.

“This partnership extends beyond merely upgrading equipment; it empowers Tower Health and our staff to uphold our dedication to clinical excellence and innovation, ensuring the delivery of smarter, faster, and more connected care to our patients and the communities we serve for years to come,” said Michael Stern, president and CEO of Tower Health. “We are proud to establish a strategic partnership with Siemens Healthineers, granting us access to state-of-the-art technology during the next decade. Such strategic partnerships are crucial for securing our enduring success, our dedication to pioneering advancements and our exceptional clinical standards. Together, we are building a stronger Tower Health.”

The Value Partnership also includes access to several digital automation tools, including Siemens Healthineers proprietary algorithms used to standardize clinical operations and simplify reporting, provide consistent data for cardiovascular imaging and to help transform data and analytics into actionable insights.

“Our collaboration with Tower Health presents a significant opportunity to support a major health system in our own community,” said John Kowal, president of the Americas at Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company. “By implementing advanced diagnostic imaging systems, technology solutions and Varian oncology therapies, Tower Health is making a significant investment in its hospitals and, ultimately, in enhancing patient care.” Effective April 14, 2025, Kowal will become president and head of the Americas at Siemens Healthineers.

1. Value Partnerships are long-term and comprehensive partnerships between Siemens Healthineers and healthcare providers, enabling them to create more value to better treat patients and reduce operational complexity. They combine each healthcare provider’s know-how and strategic goals with the technologies, innovations and industry expertise of Siemens Healthineers to address pressing challenges such as workforce and budgetary constraints and enhancing healthcare access in underserved communities.
