The American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS) recently announced an update on its electronic exam administration. Beginning this summer, the ABMRS will offer their credentialing exams for MR Medical Director (MRMD), MR Safety Officer (MRSO) and MR Safety Expert (MRSE) at testing centers operated by Prometric, LLC.

July 20, 2023 — The American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS) recently announced an update on its electronic exam administration. Beginning this summer, the ABMRS will offer their credentialing exams for MR Medical Director (MRMD), MR Safety Officer (MRSO) and MR Safety Expert (MRSE) at testing centers operated by Prometric, LLC. Prometric (www.prometric.com) has test centers available world-wide, with over 350 test centers in North America.

Initially, the exams will be available in North America (US and Canada) followed by the UK and other countries shortly thereafter, according to a press release issued by ABMRS.

“We are pleased and excited with the move to electronic exam administration,” said ABMRS Chair William Faulkner, B.S, R.T.(R)(MR)(CT), FSMRT, MRSO (MRSC™), CEO of William Faulkner & Associates, LLC. “By offering ABMRS exams through Prometric, exam candidates will be able to schedule their exam at a Prometric testing center nearest them on any available date and time, he added.”
