January 18, 2022 — In a statement released today from the Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA), the association announced its decision to move the scheduled live AHRA CLIMB event to a virtual event.

The announcement stated that the latest challenges presented by COVID-19 variants notably include staffing shortages in hospitals and healthcare centers, and a surge of rising patient counts. This along with limited testing availability, and uncertain travel scenarios, caused AHRA to make the difficult decision that hosting AHRA CLIMB, the Conference for Leadership In Imaging Management & Business as an in-person event at this time is not in the best interest of the healthcare and imaging community at large.

Revised plans for AHRA CLIMB, originally scheduled for Feb. 15-17 in Savannah, will be shared as soon as AHRA determines the format and timing that will best benefit the greatest number of imaging leaders.

Chief Executive Officer Daniel Kelsey stated, "The decision to change CLIMB's in-person format wasn't taken lightly, but we are committed to being responsive to the times, your needs, and above all, your health and well-being, and the same for your staff and patients. We will be in touch soon with more definitive alternative plans as we work hard to meet you where you are, with the solutions and support that you need most in today's ever-changing healthcare environment."

AHRA noted that current registrants, speakers and exhibitors will receive a direct email with additional details regarding participation.
