Wide-ranging product portfolio benefits patients and providers

July 22, 2021 — Carestream Health will showcase the latest advances in medical imaging technology—improving radiographer workflow while decreasing patient discomfort and dose—at the Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA) 2021 conference (Booth #400).

“At Carestream, we continue to expand our portfolio with the goal of improving the imaging process from capture to diagnosis. We incorporate customer feedback as we invest in new ideas to ease provider workflow and increase throughput while enhancing patient comfort,” said Donald Thompson, Carestream’s Marketing Director for the U.S. and Canada.

At the upcoming AHRA conference, Carestream will spotlight the following:

  • Ziehm Vision RFD C-arm, a surgical imaging system that provides a flat-panel detector for superb image quality. It supports the full spectrum of patients’ needs and a broad range of applications.
  • Lux 35 Detector, the lightest detector in Carestream’s portfolio. A glass-free wireless detector, the Lux 35 is ergonomically designed with patient and radiographer comfort in mind.
  • DRX-L Detector, a DR detector that captures high quality, long-length images in a single 51” exposure. It decreases retakes, enabling a higher level of comfort, especially for pediatric patients and patients with limited mobility.
  • Enhanced DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray System with an improved ergonomic design that streamlines user workflow. With more responsive display screens redesigned to better protect against fluid ingress, the DRX-Revolution provides radiographers with another point of visibility using functional LED lighting.

The company also will showcase its family of DR Detectors that offers a variety of options to meet the needs of customers and their budget requirements. Carestream’s portfolio is aligned with its ImageView Software, applying artificial intelligence (AI) and Smart Features for increased productivity and security as well as optimized workflow. Carestream’s Eclipse—the engine behind the company’s cutting-edge imaging software platforms—uses proprietary algorithms and AI to amplify the value of the entire imaging chain.

“Our Eclipse engine powers a variety of robust image processing features that provide superb image quality, consistent presentation, custom preference looks and dose efficiency,” Thompson said. “Like all solutions in our portfolio, Eclipse supports workflow efficiency, allowing for faster exams and more streamlined processes that enable better patient diagnoses and care.”
