With the UniSyn Image Fusion software suite, users can perform or repeat processing of nuclear medicine scans from wherever they are

December 5, 2019 — Convergent Imaging Solutions, a leader in workflow optimized medical image fusion software, features enterprise nuclear medicine processing capabilities in its widely used UniSyn Image Fusion software suite, at the 2019 Radiological Society of North America meeting, December 1-6,  in Chicago.

“Our physician clients have been using UniSyn to review NM images and processed screen captures from NM workstations. With the processing features, our clients can now perform or repeat processing of nuclear medicine scans, from wherever they are. That’s important, especially when the NM technicians are unavailable to repeat the processing, or the workstation itself is not accessible,” said Mathew A. Thomas, founder and CEO of Convergent Imaging Solutions. He continued, “UniSyn can perform renal, gallbladder, gastric, and MUGA processing, along with semi-automated pulmonary lobe segmentation, and mirrored planar and volumetric uptake determination. UniSyn is also integrated with the Cedars-Sinai cardiac analysis module for gated SPECT. Deploying UniSyn as an enterprise molecular imaging solution allows our clients to reduce and replace desk bound nuclear imaging workstations, increase convenience and significantly reduce their annual maintenance fees.”

Convergent also partners with PACS vendors, such as Intelerad Medical Systems, of Montreal, Canada. “We have been leveraging Convergent’s technology for a number of years now and we are looking forward to receiving our customers feedback on the new molecular imaging enterprise solution at RSNA,” said Helene Gey, Intelerad’s Vice-President Marketing and Strategic Partnerships. “Providing radiologists with enterprise-wide access to advanced sub-specialty tools is key to achieving clinical productivity gains as well as greater healthcare and financial outcomes.”

Founded in 2007, Convergent Imaging Solutions is based in Ottawa, Canada.
