Platform to be deployed across more than 300 RadNet centers, centralizing deployment and management of image processing products

eRAD Rolls Out Blackford Platform to RadNet Imaging Centers

November 9, 2017 – Blackford Analysis announced a sale to RadNet through the latter’s long-term channel partner eRAD, provider of imaging workflow solutions. The deal will see Blackford’s image processing platform rolled out in eRAD picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) at more 300 RadNet diagnostic imaging centers across the United States.

eRAD offers a complete suite of workflow solutions for the imaging industry. Its web-based PACS is used by teleradiology businesses, specialty reading groups, multi-site reading groups, hospitals and outpatient imaging centers. eRAD is the information technology arm of RadNet, national provider of freestanding, fixed-site diagnostic imaging services in the United States, with more than 7 million imaging studies conducted annually across its network of more than 300 outpatient imaging centers.

The Blackford platform provides centralized deployment and management of image processing products across the healthcare enterprise. It provides access to Blackford’s automated image registration and enables a wide range of automated processing solutions from Blackford and its Alliance Partners to be quickly deployed through any PACS or image viewer.

eRAD will initially deploy Blackford’s Smart Localizer product at RadNet centers, but the Blackford platform can also be used to quickly and easily roll out additional Alliance Partner products in the future.

“We are rolling out the Blackford platform to immediately enhance our RadNet clinics with the automatic image registration capabilities of Smart Localizer, but we are also very excited by the potential to deploy other new technologies,” said Ranjan Jayanathan, general manager of eRAD and CIO of RadNet. “Blackford provides a single platform to simplify the implementation and management of multiple AI and intelligent image processing modules, with a centralized access point for training, support and monitoring of the overall solution.”
