Avon Breast Screening Renews with Insignia

ABS, one of the largest breast departments in the country, first signed with Insignia in 2010, and have confirmed a further 5 year managed service contract with PACS provider Insignia.

The Avon Breast Screening programme invites more than 140,000 women from the area for breast screening. A service which is coordinated through Avon Breast Screening, based in the Bristol Breast Care Centre at Southmead Hospital.

Supplying their InSight Mammo PACS solution, one of the leading Breast Care PACS in the UK with workflows specifically developed for screening, symptomatic and assessment, to the center.

They are constantly improving their software to reflect new technologies such as tomosynthesis, and their software is easy to use facilitating film reading of mammograms.”

Certified to NBSS Level 2, InSight Mammo improves workflow for Consultants and helps speed up diagnosis. Support for multiple modalities including FFDM, MRI, Gamma Imaging and ultrasound enables the entire imaging record to be included in the advanced hanging protocols.

Tomosynthesis imaging is supported within InSight Mammo delivering the latest technology for the Radiologists and Clinicians.

With the continued contract in place, Insignia and ABS are in discussion with other local Trusts in regards to image sharing to provide joined up Breast Care across the region.
