November 18, 2016 — Shimadzu Medical Systems USA received a 2016 Best in KLAS award for X-Ray, and Category Leader award for Portable X-ray.
Healthcare research firm KLAS released its annual rankings of the best-performing medical equipment vendors. The 2016 Best in KLAS: Medical Equipment report ranked companies in seven market categories. Vendors earned the Best in KLAS distinction in various market segments including computed tomography (CT), X-ray, automated dispensing cabinets and ultrasound.
Based on evaluations submitted by thousands of healthcare providers in and outside the United States over the past 12 months, KLAS rankings measure a vendor’s performance in areas like product quality, implementation and service and support. A Best in KLAS award is reserved for top-rated companies in a select group of the largest and most impactful market segments.
Shimadzu Medical Systems USA has been bestowed the 2016 “Best in KLAS” achievement award for the X-ray Market Segment for 2016. Specifically, the company was awarded for its RADspeed table system, which has earned Shimadzu Best in KLAS in X-ray six out of the past seven years, according to Frank Serrao, Shimadzu’s marketing manager.
Shimadzu’s MobileDaRt Evolution Wireless was awarded the 2016 “Category Leader” for Digital X-Ray – Mobile. The MobileDart Evolution has now been awarded “Category Leader” for three years consecutively, with the first award presented in 2011.
