May 5, 2016 — Double Black Imaging recently released their new MR Safe display. The DBI32-MRSafe is a 2-megapixel color LED backlit display designed for use in the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) suite.

The company said this is the only MRI-compatible, MR-safe display with lag-free output and no interference with the scanner, even when positioned at the exit of the bore.

Prominent features include:

  • Spatial uniformity of 2 percent over the central 75 percent;
  • Ultra-high brightness of 1,000 cd/m2; and
  • Contrast ratio of 1,000:1

The DBI32-MRSafe monitor was displayed at the 2015 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting.
