Katmai offers improved visualization and manipulation of images from any modality and vendor

June 3, 2015 - Candelis Inc. announces availability of the latest version of its ImageGrid OS.

The new software, dubbed Katmai, has been highly optimized to improve visualization and allow for manipulation of virtually any imagery including Tomosynthesis (and Tomo cines), 3-D ultrasound, magnetic resonance images (MRIs), computed tomography (CTs) etc - from any vendor and all from a single workstation.

The existing Candelis customer base under service is entitled to this upgrade, which offers improved functionality including a simplified toolbar, more robust archiving and improved scheduling features, as well as TraumaCad integration support.

All Candelis solutions connect with and leverage ASTRA, its state-of-the-art cloud services which offer automated report, key image and study distribution, as well as affordable storage options that are HIPAA-compliant. ASTRA adoption continues to grow quickly among an expanding base of referring physicians who use it to easily receive studies and reports.

"The ImageGrid is pivotal in our radiology workflow and is the ideal cost-effective, innovative, and storage solution. The new platform has helped us become more efficient and more responsive to our referring physician community," said Naser Rahbar, M.D., of Huntington Beach Diagnostic Imaging and Breast Center in Huntington Beach, California.
