December 15, 2014 — Giving customers the tools to lower dose and ensure safer CT imaging, Toshiba is offering enhancements across its Aquilion One CT product line that improve patient experience and satisfaction, including:

· AIDR 3-D Enhanced (pending 510(k) clearance): The advanced iterative noise reduction algorithm improves image quality for low dose CT acquisitions.

· Pure Vision CT Detector (pending 510(k) clearance): This new, more efficient CT detector results in 40 percent better light output for better use of X-ray photons. This is accomplished with a new detector ceramic crystal cutting technique that reduces rough edges.

· Sure kV (pending 510(k) clearance): Provides safer exams and improves workflow with an automated kV selection based on patient size. This technology uses patient size and data from the scout scan to automatically adjust the patient radiation dose without user interaction.

Toshiba presented these advancements at RSNA 2014.
