KLAS releases report on how and why mobile DR X-ray continues to become a staple in hospitals across the country, and which vendors are winning loyalty

KLAS Mobile X-ray Market Shimadzu Digital Radiography

August 21, 2014 — Shimadzu is facing stiff competition as other players in the market narrow the performance gap and widen their provider loyalty bases. KLAS' 2014 digital radiography (DR) mobile report looks at how vendors are performing side by side, why some are edging ahead, and what providers see as the gaps.

"Innovation is truly changing the mobile X-ray market, providing new options and new technology to increase provider workflow and patient satisfaction," said Brady Heiner, report author. "Providers have growing needs that are now being met by both niche vendors that are delivering innovations and enterprise vendors that are introducing new products that provide a complete DR X-ray solution."

For this report, more than 180 providers weighed in on Canon, Carestream, Fuji, GE, Philips, Shimadzu and Siemens.
