May 22, 2014 — At the 2014 SRS/SBRT Scientific Meeting in Minneapolis, Mirada Medical presented information on how its DIR algorithms and RTx software tools can improve the accuracy required in radiosurgery treatment planning

The meeting focused on advancing the standard of care for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). Experts in the field of radiosurgery presented research findings, discussed best practices and collaborated toward elevating the standard of care.

“Mirada addresses clinical problems such as accurate target definition, automated delineation of critical structures and dose deformation for multiple modality treatment strategies,” stated Cristian Cotrutz, Ph.D., of Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle.

As radiosurgery technology has increased in sophistication in recent years, Mirada has responded with a suite of software tools designed to support accurate target definition for SRS/SBRT.
