March 27, 2014 — aycan expanded its portfolio of specialty imaging workstations with the introduction of aycan Neuro/Oncology workstation. Designed for neuro-oncology applications, the new workstation is powered by aycan workstation OsiriX PRO, and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k)-cleared plug-ins from partner company Imaging Biometrics LLC.
aycan’s specialty workstations for mammography, oncology, vascular surgery and now neuro/oncology provide all the tools for general diagnostic reading and advanced post-processing, plus certified plug-ins beneficial to those specific fields of study.

OsiriX PRO is a 64-bit fast, Mac-based, vendor-neutral, highly functional advanced image-processing tool and DICOM picture archive and communication systems (PACS) workstation for conventional, multi-slice and other image reading.
