December 13, 2013 — Fujifilm Medical Systems USA Inc. unveiled a patient-centric vendor-neutral archive (VNA) for healthcare professionals at the Radiological Society of North America Annual Meeting (RSNA 2013) in Chicago. Synapse VNA technology will catalog and maintain the data in a patient-centric model, allowing a single access point for electronic medical records (EMRs) and other systems.
Synapse VNA provides a platform to interface and integrate the data generated by multivendor systems, as well as provide actionable intelligence. Synapse VNA will enhance image management, streamline workflow, reduce costs and improve patient care. It can be implemented within any environment and offers data access and availability. The archive allows sharing and consolidation of the storage and provides secure access across all authorized users. Synapse VNA provides a unified viewing experience for the VNA DICOM and non-DICOM data.
