Device is used for conventional medical X-ray installations

August 27, 2013 — Ann Arbor Digital Devices’ A2D2 1713-Motion, a direct digital X-ray, motion and/or still image retrofit system, is compatible with most medical X-ray generators including single phase and three phase, standard and high-frequency X-ray machines.

The 1713-Motion is the first digital imaging device to acquire motion X-rays at a rate of 30 images per second or, in still mode, to deliver a 21 megapixel image with 4024-by-3016 true pixels. Image capture mode is switchable from still to motion with one click of the computer mouse.

Motion studies appear on the computer screen in 10 seconds and 5 seconds for still images after an X-ray exposure. This is not a fluoroscopic product and has the potential to replace a constant exposure fluoroscopic study system for half the equipment cost. If installed as a retrofit to an existing X-ray machine the savings can be greater.

All systems come with a Dell computer, a high-contrast monitor and the A2D2, digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) compliment software with picture archive and communications systems (PACs)
